The truth no luxury brand wants you to know about €2,000 handbags

For years, I believed luxury was a competition: each handbag had to be more exclusive than the last. Harder to get. More expensive. Then I made a choice I never thought possible: to buy a bag without a logo, without ostentation, without "status." And that's when I discovered something no brand had ever made me understand before.

When I discovered the real production cost of my €2500 handbag, everything changed...

For years, I never questioned much. If a bag was expensive, in my mind it automatically meant it was made better.

The thing is, I had never really stopped to understand how pricing works in luxury, at least not until I came across an investigation that explained what's really behind it, and I was shocked.

That's when I started to see things differently.

Because you're not just paying for the bag. You're paying for the brand, how it's perceived, and everything that revolves around it, marketing and all.

At that point, it becomes hard not to notice:

– You can end up paying over €2,000 for a bag that costs less than €100 to produce.

– A significant portion of the price doesn't really relate to quality, but to everything else surrounding it

I stopped buying the logo. And I started really looking at the bag.

After discovering how pricing truly works in luxury, I started to see everything differently.

I no longer wanted to spend thousands of euros just for a printed name.
But at the same time, I didn't want to give up the quality I was used to.

So I started looking for alternatives.
Something that truly had the quality of high fashion… but without all the associated hype.

It was during that search that I stumbled upon Voemièn.

At first, I thought it was just another "minimal" brand that popped up online.
Then I started reading more closely.

They spoke of an idea of luxury completely different from what I had always known:
less ostentation, less prominent logos, more attention to materials, construction, and the true durability of the product.

They openly stated something that no luxury brand had ever dared to say:
that a bag can be made with the same high-fashion leathers, by the same Italian artisans… without having to cost €2,000.

And I must admit, that really struck me.

Because for the first time, I didn't feel like they were trying to sell me a status.
It almost seemed like they wanted to bring the focus back to the bag itself.

In the end, I decided to try one.
The Mayfair.

And honestly… as soon as I held it, I immediately understood they were right.

The leather had that soft yet firm texture you immediately recognize when a material is high-quality.

The structure was solid, the interior well-finished, and the capacity truly designed for daily life.

But most of all, it gave a completely different feeling from what I was used to.

It didn't seem made to impress others.
It just seemed well-made. Period.

And I believe that was precisely what changed my perspective.

For years, I had associated luxury with price, logos, and external perception.
With Voemièn, I started to appreciate details that I had completely ignored before:

– the real quality of the leather
– how a bag maintains its shape over time
– how practical it is for daily use without worrying about damaging it
– the care in the stitching and construction
– the fact that it can be elegant without screaming a brand

And it's strange to say, but today I feel much more "luxury" with a bag like this... compared to when I carried around huge logos just for status.

My honest evaluation

I'll be honest, at first I was quite skeptical, because I kept seeing luxury alternatives everywhere and the message always seemed the same, with simple promises, perhaps even too simple, to the point that I thought it was just another thing built more on marketing than on the product.

Then I started using it for real, and after a few weeks, what was initially just a doubt turned into a much more concrete assessment.

That's when you realize that it's not just about aesthetics, but about how an object fits into your life without requiring special attention, without that feeling of having to "manage" it, but simply functioning naturally, effortlessly, and for the right price.

And at that point, it becomes easier to see things differently.

But the two questions that many of my friends asked me when I told them about this Brand, just as I'm doing with you, were these:

"But how is it possible that the materials used are the same? Does Luxury really have such insane markups?"

The answer is yes, the markups are insane. Many bags have a production cost of between 100 and 140 euros, because these companies, to sustain the costs they incur for stores in super expensive locations, global events with stars paid millions, marketing campaigns worldwide, and thousands of employees, are forced to charge these prices. Voemièn was born with the vision of eliminating all of this, and bringing luxury and class within everyone's reach.

"But having always worn products from super established brands, aren't you afraid that now some envious person might make an unwelcome comment, even if the bag is beautiful?"

Honestly, I don't care about the opinion of those who judge someone for what they wear, but in reality, I have to tell you that since I got this bag, everyone asks me where I bought it and compliments its quality and aesthetics. Many others already know this brand and recognize the styles, even though they lack an external logo.

The company was founded 3 years ago but already has over 100,000 customers like me in Italy alone who identify with this movement. When I go for a walk in the center of Milan, I see at least 3-4 Mayfairs like mine, and this makes me really proud of my choice.
